Nitrous Oxide

Nitrous Oxide gas has a wide range of uses that span from the medical and culinary industries to the creation of electronics.  Best known for its use as a pharmacologic agent when combined with oxygen to produce anesthesia (laughing gas), N2O is also the main propellant of ready made whipped cream and is also commonly used in the electronics industry to clean and etch semiconductors.

A recent new application has been discovered by mixologists who have used whipped cream dispensers and N2O gas to pressurize various alcohol and flavor combinations to reduce the time of infusing flavors from 3-5 weeks down to 3-5 minutes.
